Value Blocks

Unfortunately I did not get a picture of these.  I ended up leaving my camera at home.  But it was basically the same concept as the "Letter Block Name"

I had the young women sand the Letter blocks themselves, to get rid of the rough edges, then they painted with whatever colors they wanted.  Some just did one color, others did stripes,  one did polka dots.  Though one girl got really creative and made a tree on her block.  She used her finger to make the leaves, I have to say it was really quite spectacular.

Because we had such a short amount of time, they used a hair dryer to dry the paint before pasting their name onto their letter.  It worked out really well!  Then I had them write the values on their letter with markers, in the value colors.  As close as we could get anyway.  Since they don't sell white markers, faith was done in black and virtue was done in brown, since there was no gold.

It worked out wonderfully and the girls had a ton of fun.  It was really fun to see their creativity come out with this project!
